Keswick at Lee Abbey
Dates: 28 May - 1 June 2012 (Mon-Fri)
Theme: Prophets who like to make a drama out of a crisis!
Speakers: David Rowe and Dave Fenton.
They were trying to read the signs of the times. They were passionate about justice, faith, truth and integrity. They adopted creative and eccentric ways of communicating their message. They showed extreme courage in the face of governments and powerful religious leaders. They were imprisoned and abused, but they would not and could not be ignored. They were willing to go far out of their comfort zone in obedience to God - a huge challenge to anyone who seeks to be a disciple and ambassador for God today. Two and a half thousand years later, they are still household names - Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Hosea. They are like the X-Men of the Old Testament. They are the tip of the iceberg of the prophets of the Hebrew Bible. What are they saying to us today through the dust of time?
