Keswick Jubilee Photo Competition
Published: 25 June 2012
Congratulations to Ruth Kennedy & Mike Fisher who were the first people to find a Convention photo as part of the Keswick Jubilee Celebrations. Ruth & Mike have won themselves a copy each of the Handbook at this year’s Convention. For those who would like to view the Convention photos, they both show a meeting in the tent and can be found on the Queen’s left shoulder and as part of Her Majestys neck. The shoulder photo is part of the sash and can be found 9 photos from the right and 22 from the bottom. The neck photo can be found 18 across from the left and 44 photos down.
There may still be other photos so if you can find another Convention photo in a different location, then we would be more than happy to extend the prize to further winners.

Keswick’s Jubilee Tribute
Published: 19 June 2012
To mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Keswick Tourism Association, with the help of Keswick’s residents, businesses and many visitors have created a snapshot in time of Keswick and the North Lakes, to be recorded for all time in a piece of artwork which will be presented to Her Majesty. A photo of the Keswick Convention has been included as part of the portrait. If you would like to view the finished portrait or find out more about Keswick’s Jubilee celebrations please visit the Keswick Jubilee website.
Do you have an eagle eye?
Although we have been assured our photo has been included, we haven’t yet been able to find our photo. If you can be the first to spot the Convention photo, please email us describing where the photo is and the first person to get it right can claim a free copy of the Handbook at this year’s Convention!
New Literary Ministry Partnership
Published: 8 June 2012
Keswick Ministries and Inter Varsity Press announce a new and innovative literature ministry partnership
A dynamic new partnership has been formed between Keswick Ministries and IVP, representing a strategic and multi-stranded alliance to serve the church around the world.
The aim of the partnership is to bring the very best of Christian resources to Keswick Convention attendees, to Christians throughout the UK and across the world, as well as resourcing new generations of leaders across the majority world.
IVP will publish a range of new titles, including the Keswick Foundations family of books, a Keswick Study Guide, the annual Keswick Year Book and other resources, including electronic publications, flowing out from the annual Convention. IVP will also operate the bookshops at the annual Convention, as well as resourcing attendees throughout the year. A percentage of all sales will support the costs of the Convention, in addition to supporting IVP’s Growing Timothys mission scheme which provides free resources for a new generation of leaders in Africa and Asia.
John Risbridger, Chairman of Keswick Ministries, said: “We are looking forward to the strategic benefits that will flow from this broad-ranging partnership. We have been very happy with our previous bookshop partner, 10ofthose.com, but this new arrangement offers extensive publishing opportunities, and the chance to support the church in Africa and Asia as well as to serve the needs of our guests at the Convention and throughout the year.”
Keswick Ministries is the umbrella name for several significant activities, including the annual Keswick Convention, which now attracts nearly 15,000 people each summer over a three-week period. An annual Bible Convention has been held since 1875 in the town of Keswick, in the heart of the beautiful English Lake District.
Inter-Varsity Press (known as IVP) has been publishing Christian books for over 75 years. IVP promotes and distributes titles from IVP and a range of partner publishers both across the UK and around the world.
