Since its beginnings in 1875 the Convention has depended on gifts and donations to meet the costs of the event rather than charging registration fees. We feel this is the right approach for the Convention and we have never been disappointed by the Lord’s provision, through His people, to cover all the costs. You may be surprised to learn that the Convention has an annual budget of £1million. This includes the cost of putting on the event, accommodation for all the team, running the children’s and youth events, organising missionary support, advertising and promoting the event and all the administrative work beforehand! As well as this, there is the ongoing maintenance of the buildings and equipment. We do raise a small amount of income from the premises outside of Convention time but we still need large sums of money by way of gifts to cover the expenses. Whilst not having a fee to attend the Keswick Convention, we estimate that it costs about £80 per person per Convention week and freewill offerings are taken at the morning Bible Readings and Evening Celebrations during the event.

Giving to the Missionary Hospitality Fund
The Keswick Convention is passionate about mission and has been supporting, encouraging and hosting missionaries and their families for over a hundred years! We see this as a key area of Keswick’s ministry and one in which many have been keen to support in their giving.
Every year we offer grants to missionaries needing physical and spiritual refreshment. This continues to be possible only through the generosity of so many over the years. The result has been that hundreds of individuals and families have been encouraged and renewed before returning to their mission fields overseas.
