Since its beginnings in 1875 the Convention has depended on gifts and donations to meet the costs of the event rather than charging registration fees. We feel this is the right approach for the Convention and we have never been disappointed by the Lord’s provision, through His people, to cover all the costs. You may be surprised to learn that the Convention has an annual budget of some £900,000. This includes the cost of putting on the event, accommodation for all the team, running the children’s and youth events, organising missionary support, advertising and promoting the event and all the administrative work beforehand! As well as this, there is the ongoing maintenance of the buildings and equipment. We do raise a small amount of income from the premises outside of Convention time but we still need large sums of money by way of gifts to cover the expenses. Whilst not having a fee to attend the Keswick Convention, we estimate that it costs about £70 per person per Convention week and freewill offerings are taken at the morning Bible Readings and Evening Celebrations during the event.
